Before you post your first Task
- Do MOMs have to be mothers?
- No. MOM is Momsity’s name for people who get things done: parents, retirees, students, neighbors, local businesses, and licensed professionals. MOMs are 18 or older.
- What if there’s no MOM near me yet?
- You can still post a Task, but availability depends on real MOMs in your area and not every Task gets an offer. Use the ZIP check above to see which services have MOMs nearby.
- Are MOMs background-checked or insured?
- Not necessarily. Momsity doesn’t claim that every MOM is background-checked, licensed, or insured. Moving, car help, and house sitting need staff approval, and any license, insurance document, or business identity shown on a profile is labeled with exactly what Momsity reviewed.
- When do I pay?
- After you choose a MOM, you pay through Momsity checkout. Then you message, track the Task, and confirm when it’s done.
- Can I get help for someone else?
- Yes. Post the Task for the place where help is needed, like a student’s campus or a parent’s home. You stay the Member who pays and confirms.
- What isn’t offered?
- Childcare and babysitting, medical or nursing care, licensed trades like electrical or plumbing, emergency response, and anything on the Prohibited Tasks list.
